APM is an example of a "vertical mall". It has a floor area of some 630,000 sq ft (59,000 m2), consisting of a floor plate of about 50,000 sq ft (5,000 m2). It is positioned to attract the 15 to 35 age group through special events featuring pop stars.

Two express escalators are located in the middle of the mall to take visitors between levels.
